The Hendricks County Humane Society invites you to support its efforts to reduce pet overpopulation, increase pet adoptions, and educate the community about humane treatment of animals. Gifts in memory are a sincere way to show remembrance after the death of a loved one. Donations can also be made to honor a friend or family member’s birthday, anniversary, or special occasion.

Keep your eyes open for opportunities to leave your donation at any one of several HCHS Dog Houses displayed at various public locations throughout Hendricks County!

If you prefer to donate gently used pet care items, the following is a list of items frequently needed by Animal Rescue Groups. Although HCHS does not own or operate an animal rescue, we will distribute any donated items to animal rescue groups, as the opportunity arises.
- Leashes and Collars of all sizes, including cat and kitten collars
- Interceptor
- Frontline
- Premium quality dog, puppy, cat, and kitten foods (including treats)
- Dog Houses
- Tarps
- Crates
- Dog beds & Cat beds
- Blankets and towels (clean, used items are welcome)
- Covered Litter Boxes
- Scoop-able cat litter
- Cleaning supplies: all-purpose anti-bacterial cleaner, paper towels, plastic garbage bags
- Hand sanitizer/ anti-bacterial hand wipes
- Donations of services by animal trainers, behaviorists and veterinarians
- Grooming services
- Shelter or kennel space
